Use External Editors preferences to choose applications for editing HTML and images.
Enable BBEdit Integration (Macintosh only) makes Dreamweaver able to launch BBEdit and synchronize selections. Turn off to run older versions of BBEdit or to use a different text editor. See Using BBEdit with Dreamweaver (Macintosh only).
HTML specifies the location of the external editor for HTML source files. Type the path or click Browse to choose the application. See Using an external text editor with Dreamweaver.
Synchronize External Files determines how Dreamweaver updates open files that are changed by a different application.

Images specifies the location of the external editor for image files (such as GIF, JPEG, and PNG images). Type the path or click Browse to choose the application. See Editing an image.
